Welcome to the British Country Garden Blanket Crochet Along! 🌿

This year marks our third annual collaborative CAL, following the Beautiful Bugs Blanket and the Months of the Year Blanket — and I’m absolutely delighted to bring another community project to life. I love taking part in collaborative designs and hosting crochet alongs, so organising this one has been such a joy.

Featuring 11 mosaic crochet sections designed by 10 incredibly talented designers, this blanket is inspired by the gentle charm and timeless beauty of a British country garden. Whether you’re joining month by month or diving in with the full eBook, I’m so excited to have you on this creative journey with us.

What is a CAL?

A CAL, or Crochet Along, is a fabulous community event where crocheters across the globe work on the same pattern simultaneously. It unfolds in stages, providing the perfect opportunity to share your progress and inspire fellow crafters.

Prefer to watch rather than read? 🎬 I’ve put together a CAL intro video that walks you through everything — from joining and materials to a closer look at the design. Grab your hook and yarn and watch along!

How will this CAL work?

I’d love to see your progress as you bring your British Country Garden Blanket to life! Join the community in the Elimee Designs Facebook Group, where you can share photos, ask questions, and celebrate each section with fellow crocheters. Prefer to post on your personal social media? Use the hashtag #BritishCountryGardenCAL to showcase your work, connect with others in the CAL, and maybe even inspire someone else to join the fun!

New to Overlay Mosaic Crochet?

Blanket Border

In classical fashion, I opted to use an evelope border for this design – why weave in ends if you can avoid it, right?! A full video tutorial for the envelope border can be found here.

🌿 The decorative border is an optional extra, and the complete written and graphical directions for it are available exclusively in the CAL eBook.

Please note that all written patterns from Elimee Designs are non-refundable.
